Saddle Paddle Trips
Horseback rides in and around Glacier National Park are one of the best ways to explore the area's hidden treasures. But, on a hot summer day, what could be better than a horseback ride in the morning followed by a whitewater rafting trip in the afternoon? Swan Mountain Outfitters is pleased to offer saddle paddle vacation packages with all four Glacier rafting companies:
Overnight Saddle and Fish Package
This three day package allows guests to enjoy a day and a half of horseback riding along with a day and a half of fly fishing! You'll begin your adventure by checking into the West Glacier Corral behind the Rawhide Trading Post at 9:00 in the morning. While we go over important safety information with you, our experienced guides will be packing up your gear in preparation for our overnight excursion. We will spend the day exploring the forest, enjoying a hearty lunch on the trail and taking in the beauty of the West side skyline of Glacier. In the late afternoon, we'll arrive at our Outfitter Camp, complete with wall tents and a fire pit. You'll have time to get settled before indulging in a traditional cowboy dinner with all the trimmings. You'll cap off the night , fireside, gazing at more stars than you ever knew existed. The next morning, we'll have our fill of a hearty Montana breakfast before hitting the trail for an easy morning ride back to the Corral.
At noon, your fly fishing guide will pick you up at the Corral and bring you to 
Great Northern Resort for a light lunch before you depart on your exciting fly fishing trip. This custom fishing trip enables Great Northern Guides to offer a variety of opportunities to meet the needs of each angler. Their experienced fishing guides know the river intimately and look forward to sharing that knowledge with you. Truly unspoiled, the region teems with fish and wildlife of all kinds. The Great Northern chef has her own organic garden from which she sources her vegetables, and the meat comes from local, responsible farms. Her delicious gourmet food is healthy, but hearty at the same time and there is no better way to enjoy your meals than in the peaceful environment that is the wilderness in Northwest Montana! All camping and fishing gear is included, but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish.

Glacier Gateway Massage and Ride Package
Saddle up for a two hour trail ride out of our West Glacier Corral. As you ride through the lush lodgepole and aspen forest, you will enjoy views of Strawberry and Desert Mountain as well as brief vistas into the West side of Glacier National Park. After your two hour horseback adventure, you'll head back to the

Fishing Northwest Montana
The Middle and North Forks of the Flathead River make a great day of fishing for many Glacier visitors. Why not combine it with a fishing float trip with Swan Mountain Outfitters down the Swan River? The Swan River is also wild and scenic, and presents a very different fishing experience than the Flathead. You will fish one day on the Flathead River and one on the Swan River.
Overnight Saddle and Lodging Package
This package allows you to experience the ruggedness and true Montana character of an Outfitter Camp and the luxury of a beautiful Glacier Park Resort by combining an overnight horseback trip with a two night stay in Great Northern Resorts lovely log cabins.
Your overnight horseback trip will run exactly as described above in the Overnight Saddle and Fish Package. Once your return from your camping adventure, you'll check in to your handsome, log chalet accommodations complete with a full kitchen, dishes, cookware and linens. There you can clean up, relax and begin planning the next phase of your vacation because Great Northern Resort serves as a perfect base for exploring beautiful Glacier National Park. It's a great feeling to know that after a full day of Glacier Country adventure you have first class logding to come home to. There is only a 2 night minimum stay instead of the standard 3 night minimum if you book this package!

The Ultimate Adventurer's Vacation
For those looking for the finest of Montana Adventure vacations, look no further. Lucky vacationers selecting this trip will first go on a three day, two night float trip on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River with one of our rafting company partners. We will then pick you up and bring you to Swan Mountain Outfitters' base camp in the Swan Valley for a three day two night horseback pack trip into the Bob Marshall. This combines the very best features of a float and horseback vacation into one vacation package. Availability of these one-of-a-kind trips is very limited.
